Scott Reid

President, North Carolina Market

Scott Reid is North Carolina market president for Alignment Healthcare, a health care services company focused on providing population health management services to health systems and provider groups across the country.

Mr. Reid's current venture is a continuation of a long career in health care. Prior to Alignment, he was president and CEO of Renaissance Senior Living, an assisted living facility specializing in dementia/Alzheimer's, with skilled nursing facilities throughout the western United States. At its peak, Renaissance cared for more than 4,000 seniors in 21 communities and was one of the top 20 providers in the United States. In 2007, Renaissance was sold to Vintage/CalPERS and Brookdale/Fortress.

Prior to Vintage/Renaissance, Mr. Reid was president and CEO of MBK Senior Living, a Mitsui company that owned and operated Assisted/Alzheimer's Communities throughout California. Mr. Reid acquired the assets of MBK in 1999 and formed the foundation of Renaissance. Prior to MBK, Mr. Reid was president of Southern Assisted Living in Austin, Texas, which developed assisted living communities throughout the southern United States. Mr. Reid started his health care career at ARV Assisted Living, which now survives as Atria Assisted Living. He served as vice president during the company's IPO. In addition, he headed up Major Real Estate Asset Liquidation for the FDIC.

His personal endeavors include serving on the Board of Directors of Mariners Church in Irvine, California, where he also participates on both the finance and investment committees. Mr. Reid is also a current member of Memorial Healthcare's Saddleback Hospital Board of Directors, participating on the finance committee and investment committee. He has been an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and World Presidents Organization (WPO) since 1997.

Mr. Reid is an alumnus of Harvard Business School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA in environmental studies, and a baccalaureate in Civil Engineering from Long Beach State. While at UCLA, Mr. Reid played on the football team and was awarded all PAC-10 honors.
